Pastor Theodora Moten

Pastor Theodora L. Moten was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1984, she moved to Austin to pursue her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas. After obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration in May 1988, she worked in full-time ministry as the Chief Financial Officer for what was, at that time, one of the fastest growing charismatic ministries in Austin, Texas. She sat for the CPA exam in November 1996 and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in February 1997.

In August 2003, Pastor Theodora obtained her Master of Business Administration, graduating at the top of her class. Not long after obtaining her MBA, she began teaching in the graduate-level accounting program of several local, hybrid-learning degree offering universities. In addition, she has an established Austin-based accounting/tax practice dedicated to serving small to medium-sized for-profit businesses, churches and other non-profit organizations.

Pastor Theodora was raised on meager means and is thankful to God for every experience that she’s had because she understands that those experiences have made her the woman she is today. As a first-generation college graduate, she is (by no means) a stranger to difficulty and the DEEP PASSION that has developed in her life as a result of coming through GREAT turmoil and, yet, PREVAILING, is, certainly, evident in her ministry.

She’s blessed to lead and humbly serve as Pastor of The House of Bread Ministries Church in Austin, Texas where the motto is “Changing Lives ONE Message At A Time!” The House of Bread Ministries Church (though in its infancy, as a growing local body) often boasts of being a place where, indeed, “Everything You Need Can Be Found In the House (God’s House)!” In addition, Pastor Theodora is the president and founder of Women Paying It Forward, a 501(c) organization designed, specifically, to teach believers how to “pay it forward” and invest in the lives of others. Women Paying It Forward is committed to providing “wholistic” ministry to all people, including, but not limited to, addressing the Spiritual, Psychological, Relational, Educational, Familial, Physiological, Financial and Social needs of those who are “in need.” The organization believes that by modeling Christ (His love, His truth & His charity), it can make a lasting and permanent impact on the world as it demonstrates what it means to truly “pay it forward” and “give” of its time, talent & treasure in doing Kingdom ministry the “WAY” Jesus did it (which was by totally & completely giving of Himself for the good of others).

Pastor Theodora understands clearly the scripture that says:

• “From everyone who has been given much, then much will be DEMANDED; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much MORE will be asked.” (Luke 12:48b)

As such, she strives to always be about her Father’s business, birthing forth new, God-given programs in an effort to “bring healing to a hurting world.” She has been ministering for over 30 years and is committed to bringing restoration in the lives of all people! She is a firm believer in the anointing of God to HEAL, DELIVER and SET THE CAPTIVE FREE BY THE POWER, PRESENCE AND, PERHAPS, MOST OF ALL, THE “COMPASSION” OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Pastor Theodora couldn’t be more proud to have, as her father in ministry, Bishop R. C. Blakes, Jr. A man of tremendous honor, ethics & influence and “unparalleled” relevant, practical, scholarly and didactic teaching, preaching & anointing! Of his many significant accomplishments is that of authoring the widely-heralded & hugely-popular books “The Father Daughter Talk,” “Wisdom For Women In Ministry,” “Queenology,” and “Imperfectly Holy,” as well as, being the Bishop & Founding Prelate of the Family of Churches Fellowship International (of which Pastor Theodora & The House of Bread Ministries Church are proud members)!

As Pastor Theodora often says, “Truly, ONLY God Can Do These Things……”
