Bishop RC Blakes, Jr. is the devoted husband of Lisa Blakes. They have three daughters, one son and two grandsons. He serves as the Presiding Bishop of The Family of Churches Fellowship International (www.focfi.org) an organization that covers leaders and churches across America. RC is the Senior Pastor of New Home Family Worship Center of New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. He and his brother, Bishop Samuel Blakes oversee the multi-congregational ministry between two states.
Bishop Blakes accepted his call to ministry in 1982. He was baptized, called to ministry and ordained under the leadership of his late father Bishop Robert C. Blakes, Sr. He was born into the same church that he presently oversees. He has been at New Home Family Worship Center all of his life.
He has a Bachelors and Masters of Theology from Christian Bible College of Louisiana. He is a nationally sought after teacher of the word of God. His conversational tone, focus on relevant issues and life application style resonates with all generations.
Bishop Blakes’ passion is to use his voice and influence to elevate, educate and reconcile humanity to God and to each other; to this end he has made appearances on the likes of: CNN and FOX to address various current issues at turbulent times. He believes that we cannot separate social justice from the message of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Blakes has authored several books. His most popular, The Father Daughter Talk; it’s the conversation every woman should have had with her father. It addresses the emptiness of a woman who may not have had the impartation of a father’s affirmation. The Father Daughter Talk has attracted global attention to his ministry and connected thousands of people to his fatherly voice.
The ministry of Bishop R.C. Blakes is characterized as empowering, positive, practical and prophetic. He travels the world and is becoming increasingly more popular with all generations; But, he truly believes that the greatest designation anyone may have is that of a servant. Bishop Blakes is, truly, a servant of God to mankind.
