Sister Barbara Fountain

Barbara Fountain is a native Texan and alumni of St. Edward’s University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling. Ms. Fountain has served as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over ten years providing counseling services for individuals and families. The role for which she takes the most pride is that of being a mother and grandmother. In 2007, Ms. Fountain founded her private practice, Lifeline Family Enrichment, where she provides counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Her business and personal motto is, “Strengthening Families is Our Business.” In addition to her private practice, Ms. Fountain has been employed six years as a Program Specialist with the Department of State Health Services (Mental Health and Substance Abuse Division) where she has focused on policy issues affecting children and families. Ms. Fountain was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Early Childhood Intervention Advisory Council, as well as, the Texas Autism Council. Her passion is working with children, youth and families; helping them to understand they each have a purpose and they are destined for greatness! Last and certainly not least, Barbara is a committed disciple of Jesus Christ. As such, she knows and understands, first hand, the importance and critical nature of including in the therapeutic dialogue the ONE who is the “ULTIMATE” Counselor and Prince of Peace, as He is the only one who is able to do “it” (whatever “it” might be).
